Biographical / Historical
Frances Edwards Godfrey (1921-2016) of Bangor, Maine, was the daughter of Alice Pierce and Harold Ransom Edwards. She graduated from Dana Hall (Wellesley, Massachusetts) in 1938 and Smith College in 1942. She married Prentiss Godfrey, also of Bangor, in 1944. Godfrey was a member of All Souls Church, the Shakespeare Club, the D.A.R, the Bangor Historical Society, and other Bangor organizations.
