Personal collection of sheet music owned by Robert Collins. Primarily piano trios, string quartets, and cello orchestral excerpts, many with his bow notes and other markings. Includes music from the collections of Arnold Janser and Emil K. Janser, Collins’ childhood cello teacher in Springfield, MA.

Biographical Note
Robert Chapin Collins (1920-1983) was a professor of music at the University of Maine, a principal cellist of the Bangor Symphony Orchestra, and a composer. Collins conducted the Bangor Band from 1978-1983.
