Biographical Note

Alonzo A. Orr (1842-1895) was a Civil War soldier born in Old Town, Maine. He enlisted in the 18th Maine Volunteer Infantry Regiment in 1862 and was wounded at the Second Battle of Petersburg on June 18, 1864. After the war, Orr lived in Lincoln and Upper Stillwater. He was a member of the Joseph Hooker Post No. 86, Grand Army of the Republic.
