Biographical / Historical

Nellie Isabella Gale (1887-1980) was a principal and teacher in the Bangor, Maine, schools. She was born in Youngs Cove, Queens County, Canada to John and Hannah (Wiggins) Gale. She graduated from New Brunswick Normal School and received bachelor's and master's degrees in education from the University of Maine.
